Eh, your argument is so banal and pointless...your friend is telling you that he has never had a virus because he has never had any performance issues or anything strange happen, and you chortle and ask him how he KNOWS if he never ran a scan?

Well why the hell would he if he never had performance issues? If the virus does nothing to hinder performance, who even cares if it's there? Which it's not, anyway. Been using apples for 17 years now, have had one on and connected to the internet 24/7 ever since broadband came along, and have never had a virus. Nor has anyone in my Mac community.

PC users are just straight up masochists. Stubbornly refusing to see the light just because they know their way around the windows code. It's like someone refusing to buy a motorized lawnmower because they know how to sharpen and grease their own push-mower blades..

[...] When I was researching this piece, I did a quick search on Macintosh virus and found some great information. I’d recommend reading this about.com FAQ about the topic, as well as this great article from Parameter Security’s The Hacker Diaries entitled The Myth Of The Virus Free Mac.
HURRAY. I look forward to witnessing the smile fading off the pretentious, self-satisfied, smug faces of the Mac users, at last. It's official, the 'average' Mac user knows very little about computing, but alot about herding and group theory. Lets play follow the leader. Some even think that a 'faith' based anti-virus policy (I mean, Steve 'the hand' Job would never let a big nasty virus hurt us, his offspring) will see them through any difficult and troublesome times. Sorry guys, but you are arrogant and ignorant. Windows may be shit, but at least we all know it. Your dreams are still waiting to be shattered... :-)
